SURPRISE!!

I had a wonderful night tonight. I was rushing around trying to get children settled before Lee and I were expected to leave for a Hail and Farewell with the Chaplains and Assistants that work at Tripler Army Medical Center. I was frantic to finish dinner, get ready and finish dinner for the clan. As we drove down to the event I was so relieved to be out for a moment and to share some time with Lee. We were taking Bristol to meet her extended island family tonight and I was excited to see my friends. We went to the Mongolian BBQ at Hickam Air Force Base's Officers Club. (Always a treat). Everyone was so excited to see Bristol and commented on how cute she was and what a joy she was. As dinner came to a close, Chaplain Criner stood up and welcomed a new assistant and said good-byes to Chaplain Fuerher. This was particularly sad as we have come to love the Fuerher's and their positive outlook and loving manner towards all. I just love Chaplain Fuerher's wife, and I am hoping beyond measure that their orders will be changed at the last minute and they will be able to stick around. Anyway, Chaplain Criner turned the time over to his wife and then she welcomed the newest member of the Tripler Family, Bristol. They then started pulling out all of these wonderful gifts and surprised us with a little baby shower. WOW!! Neither Lee nor I had any idea. It is pretty exciting to have been given the gifts, but even more exciting to me that we were surprised by wonderful friends. So glad we are stationed here right now to share this special time with so many who are dear to our hearts!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

Playing with Water. . .Oops I fell asleep.

So tonight after the kitchen was all cleaned up we let Bryant enjoy playing in the sink with the water. We were all relaxing in the living room and things were very quiet in the kitchen. This is what we found when we looked in. . .

How adorable is that??!! We quickly took the pictures and then cradled him up to a more comfortable bed. I love being a mom and having these kind of moments. He just wore himself out running around today.

Kicking back on a Sunday.

Sunday mornings are always full of activity, but Sunday afternoons give us a little more time to enjoy each other. Hope you enjoy the pics of Bryant holding his new baby sister and Brooklyn and Bryant showing her the new swing we found on Saturday!!

Fun Family Pics

Brandon, Bethany and Braelynn posing for the camera as the three musketeers, ready to fight off a jellyfish whenever one might come too close to the cool wave they are trying to ride.

Braelynn is one of our beautiful island princesses. She loves to wear a plumeria whenever she can find just the right one.

This was taken one day on Ford Island during a family walk. The ship in the background is the USS Utah. Not many people get to see this boat as it requires military access to the island to come to this memorial.

I just had to add this picture. Many of you will appreciate the smile on this little boy's face. Anytime Bryant is given anything having to do with Lightning Mcqueen his face lights up like a sunbeam. It doesn't help much that he has his mom and dad wrapped around his finger, because we just love to see this smile so much. He owns way too much Cars paraphenalia.

Brand new Harms Arrives

We would like to welcome

Bristol Moana Harms

to the Happy Harms Household.

She was born on September 26, 2009.

She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz.

Bristol sure surprised us. We adopted her on September 28, 2009. Lee and I were able to be with her birthmom during labor and delivery and we were able to take care of Bristol during her short stay in the hospital.

It is an amazing and humbling blessing to be a part of such a wonderful woman's life as she brought our daughter into this life. We will forever be grateful to her for her gift to our family.
